07 Sportster Recall
Published by glider (Community Liaison)
Published date: Sep 18th, 2007
Recall, #0128 concerns all eight models of 07 XL Sportsters. On these bikes, it's possible that the front fender can catch onto the top of the voltage regulator body, hindering the rider's ability to steer the motorcycle. Harley says this is due to greater body thickness than in previous year and that, to remedy the situation, your local dealer can relocate the regulator using an intermediate mounting bracket. Info: HD 414 343 4056.

Concerned HD owners can also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Vehicle Safety hotline 888 327 4236 or go to www.SafeCar.gov for more info.

Re: 07 Sportster Recall

Can anyone provide a photo of the fender - regulator refered to in recall 0128?

Or what the "under certain conditions" might mean?

Thanks
