EFI Race Tuner Programming errors?
Technical Service has fielded numerous calls regarding general errors during the
programming procedure with the S.E EFI Race Tuner. We have determined that most of the
programming errors are from low battery voltage. Please be aware that low battery voltage
can create programming download failures.
If you have a programming failure and call Technical Service please have the following
information ready.
1. What Percentage did RT stop running at?
2. What version software is being used?
3. Part Number of ECM on bike?
4. What file part number are you trying to install?
Please make sure the battery is fully charged and remove the headlight fuse if multiple
programming attempts will be performed with EFI Race Tuner.
Note: You may install and use EFI Race Tuner on your Digital Technician PC. However,
when installing EFI Race Tuner on a Digital Technician PC, do not install Adobe Acrobat
Reader 5.0 from the EFI Race Tuner disc. Acrobat Reader is already installed and reinstalling
it from the Race Tuner disc may cause an issue with Digital Technician Service Manuals and
Pinpoint Diagnostics. Be advised that you must have the Digital Technician application closed
when using EFI Race Tuner and Race Tuner must be closed when using Digital Technician.
