Intermittent Turn Indicator

I have a 2003 XL, the left turn indicator works intermittently. It started when new, then curred itself before I could get service. Worked for 10,000 miles, then failed. Always works in garage, stops after a few blocks or a few 100 miles. Checked lamps, fuses, grounds, cleaned connectors, added dielectric grease and replaced Module. Worked for several 100 miles, then failed intermittently again. Old Module also still works, for a period of time? The running lights on the lefts side work, just the turns don't. Any suggestions?

Re: Intermittent Turn Indicator

Ever try replacing both bulbs on the left side?

Could be a swinging filament.

Re: Intermittent Turn Indicator

How are the contacts in the turn signal switchgear? Also, when it gets hot, have you ever used a multimeter to prove continuity from the switch to the turn signal and between turn signals?
