Advice Needed

Hi, I am new to a Harley, I have a 1992 883 sportster. The gas tank is tiny. I wish to change it for a bigger tank, any advice on how?

Re: Advice Needed

you can either purchase a custom Mustang twin cap tank for the 92 models or you could try and fit the Custom model from an 04 upwards to 06.
bothe will need work and a new seat as the bottom of the tank is a different shape to the Peanut you could aslo see if a Dyna/softail tank will fit, not sure on the 92 evo's but it can be made to on the 04 upwards

Re: Advice Needed

You could go with a "King" sportster tank 3.1 gallons 2" wider but looks the same from the side or go to your local independant shop and check out the "quick bob" 4.2 gallons from the side looks like fat bob's...I'll try to include here a pic of my XL with a quick bob...
