'09 Sporty 1200 EVO Engine Noise

Hello All, tried the search and self-help forums, no dice. I bought my '09 Sportster 1200 Low in June, with just a tic over 4000 mi. on the clock. When I first fire it up cold it's relatively quiet, but when it gets good and hot, 10 mins. of riding or so, it develops a slight ticking/clicking noise. The noise increases with engine RPM. It's not a "tap" like a lifter. I've had it to two dealers and basically they say it's the "nature of the beast". I know Sporty motors have 4 cams and are gear driven. Is this normal? Could it be an exhaust leak that appears after the motor gets hot and expands? It has'nt gotten worse after 1500 mi. Your thoughts? Regards, Low Sporty

Very possible it is an exhaust leak. They can disguise themselves as a noisy lifter sometimes.
