New pipes gonna hurt without jetting?

My 04 XL122C has a screaming eagle stage I kit and has SEII's on it. It's been jetted for that set up. My short shots got in today, how off is the jetting going to be? Am I going to hurt anything by putting them on and riding it till i can get it to the dyno? That'll probabally be 2 or 3 weeks.

thanks
Josh

You should be ok until you can get it on the dyno.

if its been jetted for the SEII's you should be good to go till you get it on the DYNO it may need 1 up in the main jet and 1 shim under the needle, but the dyno AFR will show by how much post your sheet when its done

Will the dyno be worth it? I always jet my dirtbikes myself but my sportster runs perfect, I want it to be spot on again and am not sure how close i can get it doing it myself.

Re: New pipes gonna hurt without jetting?

as long as you do not use a kit you will be fine.
you may just get away with 1 up in the main just to be safe as the short shots will flow better.
On my 883 i had pilot 45 but needed a 46, and a 180main and 1 shim under the needle would run all day at 90-100 was just a shy lean at bottom end.
Remember altitude can alter your jetting as well
