The o-ring on the trany drain plug keeps blowing out and then i get 2-3 drips after riding, what could be causing this, i have changed my trany fluid 3 times this riding season just to replace the o-ring.

Re: 06 xl
Is it actually blowing out or being cut on installation. You could check the vent line behind the primary, it could be blocked.

Re: 06 xl
It is severed, could it be from over torking?

Re: 06 xl
I pitched the O-ring and used a fibre washer from O'Rielley/Kragen. Just a simple inspection of the seating surface and the way stock O-ring just crumbled between changes, seemed the only way to go.

Re: 06 xl
Severed sounds like over tightening. You may want to check the surfaces for irregularities too. The torque on the drain bolts with the "O" rings isn't very high because of the "O" ring doing the sealing.
