Power.

Could someone tell me the difference between the power output of a standard 883 compared to a 883 with a Screaming Eagle Stage One Tune, and how it compares to a standard 1200 ?

Re: Power.

a standard 1200 will have more torque than a stg1 883 which is around 45-50hp and the 1200 in standard is around 50-55 with 60-65stg 1
the guy who dyno'd my 103 bob had a 2007 stg one at 62hp and 65tq this was a 1200 compared tp 88hp and 115tq of my bob

Below it says the 883 makes 53 hp in standard form, how much would the stage 1 modifications add to this ?

Quote:
The 1200 has received the most changes with performance cams, high flow heads and an increased redline from 5500rpm to 6000rpm. All this equates to around a 15% increase from the 03 model giving it 70 hp and 79ft. lbs. of torque. The 883 has not benefited in the same way but still makes a healthy 53 hp and 51ft. lbs. torque a moderate increase from the 03 model.

you must remember these figures are at the CRANK not the wheel so are not really indicative of what you would see on the dyno at the rear wheel.
the figures i quoted are RWHP ie real life not marketing figures without losses.

so your crank HP of 53 will be roughly the same as i said 45-50 hp but will be RWHP take roughly 20% of the crank - so 11hp off 53 = 42RWHP so you get that 20% back as the stage 1.
stock 883 is actually capable of being ridden on a restricted licence without restricter as the power to weight falls brings it down.

you pass your test on either a 125cc or 500cc+
if you pass on a 125 your are restricited for 2yrs to a bike that is governed to 33.3bhp per ton which used to mean 250cc only but nowadays you can restrict a hayabusa to this configuration
