Vance & Hines pipes for son's sporty

Just ordered new set of V&H sideshots for sons '06 sportster. I am sure this has been posted before ....but is rejetting of carb necessary? If so any suggestions ... bought dynojet kit for stock cv carb also. Thanks!

Yes i had an 06' with SE filter and Straight shot slip ons with a Dyno jet kit - i find these very difficult to tune and prefer to keep all parts stock and just up the main jet and alter the mixture screw to keep the idle sweet - there is a link for doing the idle drop for setting the mixture screw.

you did not mention if you are changing the air kit? i assumed if you were going Full system this was also on the cards?
I found the best for me was the SE kit, but i like the hurricane kit's but would look wrong a Heritage they look good on the sporties - i will one day get another sporty and do full custom

Yeah I figured that the breather assy. and air filter should be upgraded.
