Question power commander 3 with O2 eliminators

I have a power commander 3 with O2 eliminators one day i took off the pc3 left on eliminators on bike ran good had a little surge at low speeds no backfiring coming off throttle i was wondering if the eliminators keep it a little rich and if anyone out there has done the same thing on there bikes

The purpose of the eliminators is just to keep the ECM from setting a code. You are running lean with the surging, not a good idea.
