gas in my oil
When I was riding my sportster, I started hearing a ticking noise like the engine was not getting enough oil. When I checked the oil, the level was OK but I smelled gas on the rag. How did this happen, and did I trash my bike?

Re: gas in my oil
Oil dilution can happen when a fuel shut off is left open and the bike is parked or an overly rich mixture.

Re: gas in my oil
The best bet would be to change the oil and filter, then ride it and check it out.
