Re: NASCAR racing!!

I would have to go with the #07 Jack Daniels, Clint Bowyer driven car. Not a huge fan of NASCAR itself but will sit down and watch the race and drink a few Jack and Coke's....hence my loyalty to the 07 car....I've never actually been to a race but I would love to go as another one of lifes little adventures....I'm sure it would be a great time....

Besides Who else could finish a race better than him (Upside down and on fire should give you an automatic trophy for best finish.)

Hate to break it to you but - the 07 is still active and sponsored by JD but it's being driven by Casey Mears this year. Clint moved to the #33 - not sure of his sponsor.

I believe the 33 car is sponsored by General Mills.

I WAS a fan for years, but with Toyota, whining kids who never got a bit of grease under their manicured nails driving the "stock" cars, I lost interest a several years ago.....bring back the good old boys and the good old days.......

Dont forget the brawls in the infield .. or when they got out and drank 2-3 beers before the interview the good old days

Re: NASCAR racing!!

I've only been to one race, the budweiser shootout in 05. Myself and another deputy had to go to daytona to transport two prisoners back to kentucky. We went to the race park a day early to find out where we needed to enter. Got to talking to the security guards at the track, told them this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to be here. They told us as long as we wore our deputy uniforms to the park, we could go anywhere we wanted! The next day when we entered, we were escorted to pit row where we met all the drivers and got all their autographs on t shirts we had bought! We walked on pit row as all the drivers were in their cars, talking to the pit bosses, waiting for the race to start! I was even asked by a nascar official to move fans back from the pit row wall prior to the start of the race. It was an event I'll probably never get to do again and will remember for a long time!!!

Re: NASCAR racing!!

I like watching but have never considered myself a big fan. I live down the road from the Daytona International Speedway and have been there several times but not for a NASCAR race.

Re: NASCAR racing!!

yep my hubby and i both like the 24 . we have followed jeff since 1994 when we first got together. we finally won a race after a long dry spell even if it wasn't a points race it was still a win and we will take it. it really stinks the 500 ended under red flag conditions due to the rain. would have been a good finish.
