Re: TFI install - '05 Deluxe Help

I sent you a pm with my phone number...your right I don't see it in the instruction, but if I'm right here you just have to plug the wire that you disconnected from the injector into the "socket" on the tfi.

Ohhhh.....got it. Geeezzzzzz

Removed injector connector. Plugged in small connector from TFI to the connector I just removed and then plugged in the large TFI connector into
the plug where I removed the first connector. "piggy back"

thanx

Re: TFI install - '05 Deluxe Help

OK....all is well. Back on the road.

First thing I noticed is the sound of the pipes is lower. Don't have that
'crack' at the top end of the sound. A deeper sound now. Next is much
less popping and backfire on deceleration. Only put 30 miles on since
back on the road. Can't tell yet if it is running cooler as the temperature
is just above 50 degrees. Topped off gas so will check mpg later. I was
getting 42 +/- depending on riding style.

Thanx to for the help. I appreciate it.

Yea, I should have. thanx. Wildspirit97 got me straightened out.

Here is where I'm at:

Basic settings - 3 3 4 4

Accelerates good. Haven't really got on it good yet. Just normal throttle.

Back fire and popping on deceleration gone.

Sound is lower/deeper.

Too cold outside to compare heat.

60 + mph when I roll throttle aggressively it bogs down a little. Need to tweak something.

Looking for recommendations.....

thanx to all for your help

As long as your RPM's are up...

Basic settings - 3 3 4 4

Go to 3 2 4 4...lighter on the accelerator pump feature and see if it helps.

OH YEA!!!! She's dialed in now.

I'm at 3 2.5 4 4. Just a very small tweak on that pod made the difference.

Thanks Glider and Wildspirit97.

Hobbit, "seat of the pants will tell". You're right...WOT and my seat sat right down in the saddle! Thanks for the help.

Re: TFI install - '05 Deluxe Help

Sounds good!

Very common to have too much accel pump causing a problem.
