Air cleaner trim ring
I bought a used street bob air cleaner cover to use on my bike. Here is my problem, how would I go about getting the trim ring off that says street bob without destroying the cover?
Thanks T |

Re: Air cleaner trim ring
If you heat the cover up a bit with a blow drier, they will come right off. Don't use any tools, just get a finger nail under the edge and lift it once hot. After the removal, there will be some adhesive left behind possibly and I used lacquer thinners to dissolve it but don't rub it hard or you will leave marks in the chrome. Just wet it to dissolve it and wipe easily. They look better without the disc on them.
