Fuel petcock leaking.

I ride an 03 Night Train. One problem I have been having is the fuel petcock leaking when the bike is turned off. After 30 seconds it starts to pour out pretty good. Is it as simple as just replacing the unit or is this a common problem with an aftermarket solution? Anyone else had this problem?
Also, what is the best cleaner for the wrinkle black finish on the engine. I have tried just regular soap and water, but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

Re: Fuel petcock leaking.

i would just replace the petcock with a new one from HD - depending of course on the price.
for the wrinkle black i assume you can use the same as i used on my wrinkle grey S100 and a Basel brush or if you cannot find one a small sink/toilet brush ensure it new .
Spray with s100 rub with brush and rinse off with lots and lots of cold water.
then spray once dry with a back to black product make sure its silicon based, then cleaning will be easier next time and repeat over and over again

Re: Fuel petcock leaking.

The HD petcocks are repairable with parts from the dealer. I would just get a Pingle valve and be done with it, better quality.
