Smile '06 Deuce needs a new sound

Hey guys! I just purchased my '06 Deuce. It has been outfitted with the SE Stage One Kit. I am now looking for the exhaust system to replace the OEM pipes. I have found the V&H Big Radius and I think this is the system I want. Does anyone have any thoughts on these? I like to hear the rumble but do not want to be obnoxious! Cheers to all and Happy 4th of July to all!

Obnoxious is a point of view. What one person sounds great, another could have a problem with. A guy I work with has the V&H big radius, he has removed the baffles and they are super loud. I personally love it, but when riding behind him it will really shakes your head around. I have yet to hear a set of V&H that I did not like, which I why I bought a set. I think you will be happy with the ones you are looking at.

Good luck.

I have V&H on my 05 deuce, I think they sound pretty nice, hubby says that they are a little loud when he's behind me but he just turns his radio up.

Put a set of rineharts on my 04 Heritage... not many around...and sound is sweet....many compliments from other bikers... think it's better than V&H

Re: '06 Deuce needs a new sound

Thanks to all for the feedback. I am now forced to look at a short term solution to get a little more out of my stock exhaust. Does anyone have any opions on just knocking out the baffle disks in the Stock Mufflers? I have heard that you lose horse power when you do it. I did this to my '98 Sporty and thought I got a little more throttle response out of it. My Deuce is fuel injected so I am not sure of the differences that it could make.

Cheers

I use V&H Straightshots and they have a great sound that I don't feel is too loud.

Re: '06 Deuce needs a new sound

i have the big radious on my 06 deuce. they sound pretty good, kinda poppy, and the sound became more tinny when i bored my engine out and put my big cams in. they dump out on the ground right inline with your ear so it is kind of annoying when not wearing ear plugs. furthermore, they blow up dirt and grime from the street all over your back wheel.

i personally think they are cool enough to look past the little issues.

you might want to look at the big radious 2-1. they look really neat also, they produce more power and they sound better!

Re: '06 Deuce needs a new sound

dont knock the baffles out it will sound poor and affect the running of the bike, save your money and get the pipes you really want, also get down to a bike meet/rally and have a listen to the pipes out there
