Cool Screaming Eagle Ignition?

I am considering installing a Screaming Eagle Ignition (31781-00A) to my 2003 carburated Night Train. I already have SE slip-ons and air cleaner. Yes, carb has been rejetted and it runs strong. Has anyone installed one of these on their ride? I would like to hear about your experience.

Re: Screaming Eagle Ignition?

Veep there was a thread on this subjct some time ago that went into this. I can not seem to find it now, but if my memory serves me right the general opion was it would be a waste of money and gain nothing. and even may creat some new problems

Re: Screaming Eagle Ignition?

I put the SE Ignition with the coil package on my old '01 Softail and found it helped but the bike had a 45mm flat slide, SE 203 cam's, SE pipe's and was 1550 kitted with a little head work. Just being able to get 6200rpm beat's 5600rpm and more gas needs more spark.

Re: Screaming Eagle Ignition?

I upgraded my entire ignition system to SE. Daily driving I don't think you would notice the difference. If you go and do any track days at the local drag strip, you will notice a big difference on the top end. Not just the increased RPM, but she will run smoother, perhaps due to less voltage fluctuations under heavy load and heat. At least in my experience with my 06' Night Train.
