EFI vs Carbureted Fat Boy

Hello:

I just joined this forum, I apologize if this topic has been discussed already (which I'm sure it has). I just bought a 2002 Fat Boy with 924 miles. It is carbureted, and I was wondering if anyone has an opinion whether that motor set up is better or worse than the EFI?

Thanks
Kenny

Each has their advantages. The carb is easier to work on than the EFI is but the EFI will usually give better mileage and run a bit better due to better fuel delivery. Easier starting in cold weather is a plus for the EFI also.

Re: EFI vs Carbureted Fat Boy

After owning both I would never go back to a carb, efi never seems to anything doing to it so I can just do the usual service's and ride, even to plugs last longer.
