EFI vs Carbureted Fat Boy
Hello:
I just joined this forum, I apologize if this topic has been discussed already (which I'm sure it has). I just bought a 2002 Fat Boy with 924 miles. It is carbureted, and I was wondering if anyone has an opinion whether that motor set up is better or worse than the EFI? Thanks Kenny |

Kenny
Each has their advantages. The carb is easier to work on than the EFI is but the EFI will usually give better mileage and run a bit better due to better fuel delivery. Easier starting in cold weather is a plus for the EFI also.

Re: EFI vs Carbureted Fat Boy
After owning both I would never go back to a carb, efi never seems to anything doing to it so I can just do the usual service's and ride, even to plugs last longer.
