09 deluxe is an unknown quantity at this point
is my battery dead?
I took my battery out about 8 weeks ago, like a good owner should, and I was asking some of the guys on the forum about keeping it charged. Many recommended a battery tender, which unfortunately I have not purchased yet. I assume by this point my battery is probably dead and i need some other charging device to bring it back up, before I could hook a tender to it.

So what's the best way to bring it back to life, when it's dead?

The battery shouldn't go dead just sitting there, if it was good when you took it out it should be good to go, 8 weeks not that long. If it is dead here's the charging chart, you can use a 10 amp fix rate charger. Buy a battery tender and leave the battery in the bike is better for me. Good luck
