Throttle cable sizes
I own a 1986 FXSTC with a 2 cable throttle,and have just removed my original 86 H-D (butterfly)carbie, now my new HSR 42mm Mikuni carbie is mounted and one of my old throttle cables is to short.
My old cables are braided(nipple ends) with a 90 degree elbow only at the handlebar end of the cable,both are 37",and both cable lengths fit fine,but the (pull)or(opening) throttle cables exposed wire is to short, by about 2". Can anyone advize me as to what type and length of throttle and idle cables, for a 1986 FXSTC, with a new Mikuni 42mm HSR carbie. |
