I have an 04 FatBoy that needs front bearings replaced, but not sure how to remove old bearings. Are they pressed in? Or can a guy remove them without damage to wheel?

I had the same problem, it was very hard to remove this bearings. I try to do that myself and can't do it. That I visited few shops and they cant't do that. Finally I found a shop were they had a SKF bearing puller kit, like this:
SKF TMMD 100 Deep groove ball bearing puller kit Than they soak bearings regions with a petroleum and finally (afetr few hours) remove old bearings. The second way I thnik is to go to official harley shop, and they should do that. So, removing is possible, but not easy without special tools. |
