Re: Obama...

You couldn't get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't join the military and become a colonel after a 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience.

BUT....

'From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate.

That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln , FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan . 143 days?

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public seems to feel comfortable with this and campaigning for him.

We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are OK with this for the President of the United States of America ?

Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol.

We agree on that. I have waited and wait for anyone to show me some thing he has done anything that would give me a reason to consider what he say in his speeches nothing not one thing has he done in his life.
he is like the guy at work that got the company saftey award for 20 years of no mistakes.
Then you find out why he never did anything either.

Re: Obama...

So he went right from high school to the Senate? No work experience in between? What's McBushes work experience? 30 years of being a republican politician. 8 years of republican politics & policies got us where we are today. If you're satisfied then vote for the republicans.. if not, don't.

Re: Obama...

if you believe that it is the republicans that did this to the economy, think again. its quite strange that the economy went to hell right after the democrats took the majority in congress. the president is limited with the congress' decisions, they make the laws, not him. the people wanted "change" and the voted the democrats in to office, now look at what the change was.

Furthermore, to use a term like "McBush" is just like using the term "Obama Bin Laden". I believe that it is not fair to either candidate to start calling names.

Sorry beg to differ. Sub prime mortgages, Wall street speculators and Opec put us where we are at right now. Does not matter who is president, greed is what put us where we are at..

This really cracks me up every time I hear his name as the California governor. It is funny that California is one of the most liberal States in the country, but yet they voted in a Republican as the Governor. It just shows that people really don't take voting seriously. Whether or not Arnold is qualified to do the job or not, do you really think that if Arnold was not the Terminator, that he would be governor of California??

Re: Obama...

I never discuss politics or religion. With that being said I want to say kudos to everyone for going 8 pages with a political discusion, and still managing to keep the conversation civil.

When you do go out to vote remember our soliders, not only the ones that are over seas protecting our freedoms, but those that have perished doing just that. With that being said God Bless all that have served, and thank you for my freedom.

I think in this case no politics in play, just a popularity contest and he is the star!
