Re: Obama...

Let's just face the fact that I really doesn't matter who gets in anymore The only way to really change a country is to start a new one or have a revolution One mans terrorist is another mans patriot

Re: Obama...

Only when you stop listening and reading the word of another man and pay closer attention to your own will you find the truth.

Amen brother! Having served in the armed forces and not at war, my heart goes out to those who have to do it. Thank you all for keeping us safe and free!

Re: Obama...

For the record. I thought the war was a good idea at first. I did not know we were going to try to fight a "nice" war. I have since changed my mind. We need to mop their (edit) and get out. Like Desert Storm. Only this time, we take their oil and their land. Might as well give them a legitimate reason to hate us.

I feel horrible for those losing their loved ones for no apparent reason. Thanks to you all! It will never replace them, but at least you know what they sacrificed is remembered and thought about properly.

Re: Obama...

I've spent more than half my life in the military and I'm still currently serving....I must point out that to try and generalize about what folks in the military will or will not like or do....is like trying to apply it to the rest of society......folks in the military today are just a reflection of society....I like to think military folks are a better quality of society due to the discipline and the drug testing.....but with the relaxation of recruiting standards these days it's not like it was just a few years ago..... I know personally many Soldiers that will vote for both candidates...

I put my boots on a few times, I agree some what.
But I have also seen were some soldiers get the idea that voting for someone like the big O means they never have to do anything. Whatthey do not understand is that when it hits the fan no madder who is in office they are going.
Many soldiers even those in the infantry joined to get some or all collage paid for the deer in the head lights look on thier face the minute they found out about the big bad world out there was some thing to see.
Most of them did there job. We had a few that did cry baby stories with a lot of made up Bs to the press. Try to get one of those stories retacted even when you prove it lie. Like the one Dems in congrees put all over the news with his war crimes stories. Latter it was found he never made it through boot camp. There has been many case of that. I have a few to share.
But who is really intrested in the truth only what CNN can dream up.
next the myth about soldiers coming home and killing them selfs because of the WAR.
If you do your home work you will find most had other issue in there life.
And those of you that have served know how many of them came home and wife was now with Johnny and courts gave wife 100% placement of kids took every dime he had. And there was NOTHING he could do about.
Have one of my X soldiers going though that now. The law says they can't do it but with a wink and a nod the social services and the court do it anyway.
If I learned any thing as a 1SG it is there is always more to the story.

I know this is ture in most cases "I like to think military folks are a better quality of society due to the discipline " And over time they learn what service to others really means. Un like most Americans they lean is not all about me.
Ask John about that Don't bother asking The great O he would know what you were talking about. He thinks service to others is making speeches

Re: Obama...

OK, one of you McCain guys comment on the lady Governor of Alaska that may very well be president someday. Lifetime NRA member, 5 kids, etc. Did he make the right choice?
And Hobbit, the Brits have always been interested in US elections, but with you being a moderator I can understand your position.
