I agree mrs2cool, but we try to give members someplace to vent when it comes to politics. If it gets too hot and heavy or someone is out of control, then we deal with either that member or the political forum itself. As long as things remain civil and no personal attacks, then the forum will remain on HD Talking.

If it doesn't ...........

Re: Obama...

McCain is a true American hero. He has spent more time as a POW than Obama has had in the Senate. Who is the patriot between the two? Not the one that socializes with the Weatherman (Weather Underground Organization) Leader, William Ayers. Not the one that accepts $50000 from Code Pink. Not the one that refuses to wear an American Flag lapel pen in fear that it might “send the wrong message.”

I personally want somebody in office that loves this wonderful Country, someone that understands what it means to go to war, placing the good of the country over their own well-being and making sacrifices in the interest of the people that make these United States the great country it is. I want a Commander-in-Chief that will be proud of his country and display his pride without fear of offending someone.

“Do everything you ask of those you command.” GEN Patton

I can say that I currently do not know any soldiers that would even dream of voting for Obama, none of my Soldiers would, they all laugh at the idea.

Are you apart of any Vet orginizations? VFW? American Legion? I know scores of soldiers that wouldnt give McCain a handshake let alone a vote. You know Obama has gotten more money from Soldiers than McCain right? Also McCains Vet voting record is poor....

with that being said, dont know to many who will vote for Obama. Most i have talked to will vote Bob Barr, or write in Ron Paul....

personally i am waiting to see who McCains VP pick will be. Ifs its Romney, he will lose my vote, and will right in Gingrich or Barr. 2 folks who flip flop like its no tomorrow is not my cup of tea.

it is a biker site. but alot of us dont just want to read about topics that have already been covered 1000 times. And are only rehashed due to lack of the "search" button. If you just make it a Bike site, then you have to lose the anything goes sections as well, and then it just turns into a boring site with people yelling at other to use the search, and absolutly nothing else to offer.....and then you have a dead, unpopulated site.....

besides, i got alot of time to kill during the work day, and dont just want to read about spark plugs and what is the best oil to use.....

/newb on site
//not new to bike forums

Re: Obama...

My, my, the ice is getting very thin here.

Like said above, everyone is entitled to their opinion as long as it doesn't offend or belittle another member and it isn't vulgar.

This forum can disappear faster than (to quote R Lewis) your $$$ in a harley store. Politics can ruin a nice forum if it's allowed to migrate into ugliness.
