Re: Obama's Latest Speech

First and foremost, I think we need to end the war in Iraq-way too much money spent and more importantly many lives lost. The mid east has been fighting with each other for thousands of years and it wont change. As far as protecting our country, I think 9-11 was just a tragic event that nobody saw coming-plus if we withdrawal our troops which Obama has supported all along, Hillary was for the war until she started running for president- I call that a flip flopper, I believe we have enough technology to pick the mid east to pieces with night time sorties like we did when Hussein was in power-with almost no casualties. Bring the troops home, give them a break, and lets start concentrating on our own country and taking care of our own-like New Orleans which still looks the same after Katrina. Flood the Mexican border with troops to keep the illegals out, thus giving these troops a paying job. The U.S.A are the people pleasers of the world, and the ones that get **** on the most. I have been an IBEW Local 375 member for 23 years and i and all my union brothers support Obama. This country definitely needs a big change or we're headed for deeper trouble.Everything that i have just posted is ONLY MY OPINION.

Re: Obama's Latest Speech

Let's talk real world...Under the 8 years that the last Democrat was in office, my wages and buying power increased.

Over the last 7 years under a Republican administration, my wages and buying power have been steadily reduced...

Not to mention, the company that I work for got to file BK using the BK laws to gut our contract and wipe our pensions out under a Republican appointed BK judge that was later indicted for ethics violations.

Oh yeah, the best part about my companies BK, the executives that mismanaged the company to drive it into BK in the first place raped 10's of millions of dollars for themselves as a reward for destroying careers and doing away with it's pension obligations.

I know that our story in not unique...We still have jobs. Many others have seen their jobs disappear to China and India...

Cheers,

Bill

Sorry, I will take a D over an R

True but he hid from the problems we are dealing with now Got a bunch of US soldiers butchered.
And he left all of the Regan and other Bush economic policies in place and did nothing to even try to change them.
Of course he did force NAFTA through something they deny now
lot of what is happening now is fear the a dem will be elected.
Company I work for has 15,000 employees and they have scaled back all plans for growth because of that. They are planning now to move even more work out side the US.
Major company my brother in law works for held meeting awhile back made it clear there will be nothing but a store front left in the US. Taxes and regulation are running them out. Takes years to even get a new plant approved.
I have voted for a few Dems in my life but not this fake research who he is

Re: Obama's Latest Speech

Let me see now, Bush lied to us about WMD. And then has sent almost 4000 good people to their death to make daddy happy. But let's keep blaming everyone else for his actions.

Re: Obama's Latest Speech

tell ya what. I can take it all, we been shafted by the government since the signing of the Declaration if Independence. You want to improve the country and economy,,, boycott Wal Mart ! They fly the American flag on their trucks and stores and profess to selling American, when 78% of their garbage is from CHINA,, they openly hire illegal’s, they pollute out streams with chemicals, enjoy 1.2 million dollars tax subsidy per large store while your mom and pop stores can't pay theirs, they steadily close every small business in your town because their sweat shops can get er done cheaper. Wal Mart is the root of all evil.

Re: Obama's Latest Speech

I will say one thing I was a union Ironworker for over 5 yrs and gave it all up to go back into the Marine Corps because the needed me!!!!!!! Mr. clinton had at the least THREE opertunities for Osama head on a platter but did not take them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once he did not wont to be bothered because he was in the middle of a GOLF game, while many of my MARINE CORPS brothers lost there lives standing guard in embassies in Africa. Mrs Clinton with her ties to the BLACK PANTHERS in the 60's talks alot of trash but is nothing more than a lieing piece of white trash, I am torn between a Rep and Dem way of life. But unless ANY OF YOU who talking about Bush and Iraq really dont have one voice in this matter unless your backside has been in that HELL hole. I have seen hospitals reopened, schools reopened, Me and my MARINES stood guard and risked our lives to give people the RIGHT TO VOTE a right that the majority of AMERICA take for granted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so all I can say to all of you who hate IRAQ and this war on terror is; I WOULD RATHER THIS FIGHT BE IN THERE STREETS THAN IN MINE!!!!!!!!! I WANT MY SON TO GO TO SCHOOL AND NOT WORRY ABOUT GETTING BLOWN UP WHEN HE GETS ON A BUSS!!!!!!!!! I will get off my soap box know and if I offended you then pickup a RIFLE AND STAND MY WATCH!!!!!

Would two tours in another useless war, (Vietnam, yea I am an old guy who thought he was protecting his country and making life better in another one), complete with three purple hearts, be allowed any voice in this matter?
