Think I will not go to far wih this one. I ask you look at who he really is and were he was invented. How he got into office in the first places.
I wish the rest of you could see what the press will not show you.
Joe and I both have been there and you have not seen one bit of truth on the news about what is happening in the middle east. if any of the new station tried they would blow up bythe end of the week.
It will be years befor Bush is judged and things will be much different then.
Why have over 75% of my soldiers gone back on their own. Why will the press not print the truth, try asking them, I have and gotten no responce even when we have shown them to be full of it.
32 AASLT infantry is at 114% strenght and on there way back many of these fine soldiers for 2 or 3rd trip.
But the news reports they aare undermaned and 90% of the public beleave it.

Smitty, I hear what you're saying, and my ONLY hope for the guys over there... is that they are getting the equipment they need to be as safe as possible. When I hear how they have gotten faulty parts (some from my own state... shame), or improper armament... it just angers me. They deserve the best we can send them.

They have always gotten what they need.
Now is the always the best my God I wish I knew what was best.
There were a few reserve units in the begining mostly support unit not in combat that were crying looking to get atition from the press and boy did the press play that up.
No truck is explosivion proof no madder what CNN tries to tell us.
There never was a magic box that blow up all IED's befor they got you. We tied some they work about 1% of the time. People waht way to many movies about war.
No one is listening Bush and others have been tring all along to explane this is not now nor has it ever been about IRAQ. The is just the feild it is happen on.
Find me one middle eastern country that has ever kept it's word on anything.
look what happen when one country printed a couple of cartoons.
Look at how they forced France and Spain to toe their line.

At our State collages they TEACH the Bush and Dick blew up the towers.
That no one else was even there, the plane video was a trick. This is the dumd lost world we live in.
DK the last person that wants to go to war is the first man in and he is the infantry. But when called he marches in with honor. If they would let me go back wih shoulder I would be on the next plane.
And as for medical care well for everyone that had problems in the system many more got great care. Many of those that had problems were ones that did not follow the program a few slippled throught the cracks in a system run by a buch of goverment works to darn lazy to try and even do their job.
I CAN BACK this up CNN and the rest of those jerks get away with thier line of junk because no one questions them

Word Smitty, I got to soapbox but I’ll keep it tight. First, these bleeding heart liberals need to learn I don’t have to support the war, nor the administration to support the troups.
I do not support the war, but thank god you, and your sons are standing in the sand, drawing a line in it, and doing honor for this country so I can sit on my hog a free man. I think the war is wrong, the president is an idiot and we have problems, but the man, the individual who still hold true to a code and country deserves our respect and support. I will say it agin peoples ideas about the so called war are based on the press and what they are told by leberals in many different forms.
I have read reports in the press about things we were right in the middle of some even leading the way and could not figure out what they were talking about.
80% or more of the so called Iraq people were and still are glade we are there.
Wonder why press is not saying much about iraq now ? Our own congressman called us baby kill and murders and when they were caught in a lie the press dropped that to, but yet the lie is still put out there as fact.
Getting hard to find even a nut case over there to say what they want to print.
Ever wonder how CNN got pictures of a group of so called iraq's wit RPG-7's and AK47's
in masks on the street concer dance and waving?
EASY they set it up paid for the shoot. Soon as CNN had the quick video or picture they drop the stuff and run.
The kidnappings are about money only. The French and germans have been paying out all kinds of money to get their people back that leads to more and more of it.
Lets not even go in top the phony Oil for food scam the French and the Un had going, oh we dropped than subject 3 years ago when it was found out un was up to their tails in it.
Half the crap you have been told about KBR is bull they feed us great food at 2/3's the cost of MRE's you never hear that on the news I would love to show you the dinner are they set up fo us
they have no power in Iraq bull they have more electric power now than when we got there. Truth the power is being shared more. When we got there the power went to the chosen few.
The americans were starving the Iraq people BULL there was no one starving.
The videos shown by CNN of Iraq childern chasing american convoy begging for food.
BULL they were try to get the candy from MRE's they knew soldiers had.
A picture a video a few words rearanged by a reporter leave out a few words the whole story is turned around.
Sorry I went on a rant but The truth will not betold for many years and then many will have a different view.

Smitty, You are 100% correct. No I have never been in there or never served our country but have freinds, family that have. We are feed a bunchof B/S and it is so far from the truth, I take YOUR/Freinds/FAMILY word on what is REALLY going on over there. It is a dam shame the truth can not be broad-casted but i guess that would not make good news for the OVER paid,siut wearing white collar people, (scum) that broad cast this b/s day in and day out. It breaks my heart every day when I walk out of my house and look up at my flag that flys EVEEY day/Night and think about the men and women that give and gave their lives for us,them (scum) and people that pay no attention to the sacrafice that is given by these brave people.

Sorry, but I have to climb on the box once more. At the risk of hijacking (sorry, DK) I have to jump in and catch the First Sergeant's back on this. As he said, bottom line with the news vultures is: If it bleeds, it leads. There, my friends, is why they are suddenly silent on the subject excepting, of course, when the subject of withdrawls is brought up or when the occasional IED goes off, or when a reliable news source needs filler and runs the rare good news story. Money and ratings drive these idiots. Period, end of subject. Iraqis are immensely better off than they were in 2002. That is a proven fact. Just the fact that Saddam and his scum are history is a total improvement.
Nobody I ever saw was starving--on the contrary, they were thriving. With the exception of the south of the country where the (edited) drained the marsh lands. I've seen a total swath of the country, south to the Kurdish region in the North right up the middle. The Kurds have it so good, nobody would believe it. May as well be Europe or England. We were invited to have dinner at a local mayor's house. The spread they put out was like I've seen at family reunions with the very same cameraderie. I asked the mayor what would have happened if Saddam were still in power and found out he had invited us to his house. He said that he and his family and his house would be dust in the wind. As for the children? All well fed and thriving as far as I could tell. Kids are kids and love candy. Or ANYTHING from a G.I. for that matter. They chase vehicles and soldiers throw them candy from their MREs. We used to save it up for the next trip out to the projects. Sort of winning the hearts and minds, I guess. The parents see that and all of a sudden "Hey, these Americans aren's so bad, after all!!" Works real well. Not to mention that noone wants to see children suffer. They are still innocent, yet the first to suffer under a brutal regime or a war. They will grow up and remember those troops giving them candy and hugs and that goes a long way to peace. All the guns, bombs, and money in the world can't force that.
As for KBR, ditto what Top said. We were eating like kings, even in Kuwait. The news dorks found out the V.P. was tied to them, and the feeding frenzy was on. I only wish I knew how many locals KBR employed and still does. It's a win-win for all. We don't look at ourselves as heroes. Far from it. The heroes are in Arlington and other cemetaries here and around the world. We just went, did our jobs, and came home. Unlike our brothers from Vietnam, who came home to the jeers and dis-respect of our fellow countrymen for having the balls to go and do an ugly job for their country. Well, those young hippies are now our leaders and look what we've got. God help us all. Ward Churchill. The Clintons. John Kerry. The list is long and vast. I grudgingly respect Kerry for going but seriously question his motives and have total ire for his actions after he got back. So, like it or not, we're there so we had better damn well be allowed to finish the job or the entire world will regret the outcome. If my 44 year old bones are found fit enough, I'll probably be going back as well. That's how strongly I feel about it. This is serious business, folks, and unless you want to live under Sharia (sp?) law, weigh your votes very very carefully. Our futures swing on this election a whole lot more than you think!! I relinquish the box and apologise for being long-winded.
