Re: Gun Control

Morning folks
I am a strong believer in gun controle that is why I use both hands with my 45 colt ACP, 2 to the chest 1 to the head no law suit from some piece of (edited) who as no thought of me or mine and the pain he would cause. I would prefer to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.

With all the DNA and high tech equipment available nowadays, there's no reason to NOT fulfill the wish of a jury..........ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE WITNESSES!!! If you're convicted of murder and sentenced to death, you get 6 months, 1 appeal and then the deal is done!! No more sitting on death row for 20 years and sucking the life out of the taxpayers. That'll clean out the prisons of these scum and rid the earth of someone who shouldn't have been breathing good air to begin with! People defending their family and property shouldn't spend one minute at the jail. It's a shame that the victims are the ones who seem to get the most harassment.

I hope I haven't offended anyone who might have someone in their family that was convicted of something that put them in prison....but I have no sympathy for those who break the law "just because they're looking for an easy way to make a buck".

Okay, now it's time for me to get back in the holiday spirit! Oh wait.....it never left me!

Re: Gun Control

After reading this I am glad I joined this forum. I am against gun control. I think those stats were posted on the NRA web site. It is a good read.

I rely on the police to come pick them up after I've protected my family and property! Not only do I enjoy shooting, and use guns for protection......but I'm seriously planning to start entering shooting competitions.

States are abolishing the death penalty because it's considered cruel and inhumane. What about the victims? Was their death not cruel and inhumane? And while they are abolishing the death penalty, crime stats continue to rise. I don't get in my vehicle without locking the doors and do the same at home. And I live out in the country!!
It shouldn't be this way!

The government needs to stay out of my business. I'm quite capable of taking care of my own!!

Gun control? I am in total control of my guns at all times.

<stepping off soap box>
RBG, do you think the bozo at Virginia Tech was worried about any inhumane actions? That's what I figured. I'm not as old as Glider and all, but CuznJed summed it up with 'what's there to be scared of?' Kids today don't have any punishment that will cause them to suffer.......and I'm still scared to talk back to my mother.
Hmmm, her philosophy for us was 'if you get a whippin' at school, you had better enjoy it because it will be nothing compared to the one you get when you get home' How do you like that? 2 for 1....Therefore, I never got caught......You can have your soapbox back now...And for the record, I only hit 2 boys (other than my brother, he don't count) in my life.....;)

Yeah, I'm 44 and if I even THOUGHT about talking back to my mama she'd STILL knock my butt out! LOL
And my Daddy didn't have to say a word. All he did was point his finger and we knew EXACTLY what to do.

Sounds like you were raised a lot like I was. I was too scared to get in trouble in school cause I knew what was going to happen when I got home.

I only hit one boy when I was in school. I was on one side of the table, he was on the other. He said something about my mama and the next thing I knew I was on top of him giving him a healthy dose of knuckle samich! They said I looked like I'd been vaulted over the table! LOL But he never talked about mama again!

And ya'll are right.......until they start making these punks take responsibility for their actions, the killings won't stop. They have nothing to fear.

Re: Gun Control

I wish we hadn't been seperated at birth, Sis. I'd have bought a ticket for that bout!! Here lately, I've been thinking alot about frontier justice. Things have gotten waaaayyyyy too touchy-feely in this country and I think a good old fashioned hanging in the town square at high noon may just put the fear of God back where it belongs. I would even supply the wood and labor for the scaffold. Set in concrete for years of reliable service. Put up some stocks for lesser offenses. A day or two in the stocks would change some minds. As for gun control? I have just one thing to say: One of the first things Hitler did when he came to power was complete gun control. An un-armed populace is a cooperative populace and, therefor, sheep. The only thing that keeps our politicians in check is the knowledge that we are armed and from the rumblings I've been hearing, better stock up on your ammo gang!
