Re: Gun Control

gun control to me means hitting your target. gun control only helps criminals there are to many gun laws already on the books they have to start using these laws. for every jacka-- person that shoots another person for looking at him or her wrong put these punks and there lawyers that makes up some BS story why there client is not responsible for there actions to death or ship them to the front lines in a war zone so they can do all the shooting they want. i know this sounds harsh but there are no consequences for anyone that does any wrong today I'm sick of it sorry for the rant but gun control just rubs me the wrongway

Angry Re: Gun Control

It is wrong, if there were as strict with convicts and punks we wouldnt need all these different laws!!!!!! That dont protect the innocent but rather the guilty

Re: Gun Control

My fascination is this... that lawmakers (those paragons of intelligence) seem to think that by making more laws... that the criminal element, who tend to have a disdain for the laws that already exist...will hear of these new laws, and suddenly turn a new leaf, surrender their illegal weapons, and join the Peace Corps or something.

How delusional can you get?

Re: Gun Control

Those are some real good stats, Its just a dang shame that no one realy pays attention to stuff like that until its to late. I know that Canada has some very tuff laws, and the Olympic shooting team for Britain has to train in another country from what I hear, not sure how true that is. Look a New Jersey the just bansished the death sentence what is there to be scared of????????? If they knew for a fact that they were going to swing from a rope after commiting a crime they may think twice.

Re: Gun Control

Well... no one swings from a rope anymore, even in states that do still practice capital punishment.

What I'd like to know is this... WHY does the punishment have to be "humane"? I'm fairly sure that humanity was the furthest thing from the mind of the perpetrator when they performed whatever heinous crime they did to get that level of punishment. Is it to make it seem that "society" is still a humane, benevolent party to the proceedings? Hogwash. I say make the punishment either fit the crime, or make the punishment SO horrible, that it really does make one consider that consequence, before committing some illegal act. I honestly believe that some of the victim's survivors wouldn't mind it one whit, if the person who ruined their family, got "what they deserved" in return.

As to all those who disagree and think that the convicted "suffer" before that final heartbeat. Um... so what? They should. After all the years and money wasted on the convicted for retrials, appeals, and incarceration... there's no need to be "humane" in that final moment.

At least that's my opinion.

Re: Gun Control

I have been in country's that you can get lashings for spitting on the ground, where they will behead you for murder IN PUBLIC. In most of these countries the police will mess you up for resisting arrest!!!! They dont have near the murder and rape problems that we have in our civialized country
