Contaminated front bakes
Front caliper / rotor are contaminated with HD fork fluid...The brake pads dont appear not to be contaminated. The system brake fluid is Silicon DOT 5.
What cleaning agent can I use to get rid of the fork fluid off the caliper /rotor. Thanks in advance |

Re: Contaminated front bakes
I have just used brake cleaner. Shouldn't bother anything. Just spray on and hose off with water, thentake it out for a ride. Brakes might fade a couple of times until you heat them up and they dry off

Re: Contaminated front bakes
Agree with the brake cleaner, just keep it away from rubber and plastic parts. Some of it will deform things.
