Give us an idea of what you use and how it works.

Give brand names and difficulty of use too.

How often you find you need to reuse the product to keep things in top shape will help too.

Re: What products Do You Use To Detail Your Bike

i use Auto Glym bike cleaner and Castrol Greentec both are great products for removing crud, spray it on aggitate with a brush or sponge on the stubbon parts and hose it off, then is wash complete bike with a sponge and power wash it of (low pressure power washer).
For polish i use Belgom Alu on the chrome and alloy, rub it in until it goes black leave to cloud over and polish off leaves behind a waxy residue which makes washing easier.
Paint i use Auto Glym super resin polish and lustre lace instant detailer, the super resin can also be used in between the applications of belgom.
also during winter i spray the entire bike with FS365 or acf 50 anti corrosion and cover with a silicon spray looks a mess but saves the bike

Re: What products Do You Use To Detail Your Bike

Well I probably over do it !..I have a Black and Chrome Road King ( lol ) So to make a Black bike look good takes a little extra effort. To wash I use Mequiars Gold wash. Rinse off with cold water to start. Wash bike then blow dry with a leaf blower. I use a Micro Fiber Cloth ..its called Streak-Free..can purchase online at http://www.mgbstreakfree.com ..anyone who has not used this cloth, you won't believe how good it works. Then when I wax I use the easiest wax I ever used and IMO the best . Its called RejeX made in Dallas Texas by CT ( Corrosion Technologies )..Apply with a flannel rag ( purchased from a fabric store )..and wax off with a flannel rag as well..I use Mothers liquidl chrome cleaner/polisher....use as directed per manufacture..then I wax the chrome with RejeX...I've used lots of different detailer..S100..Pig Snot...Geez don't know how many different ones I've used..they are all good...but finally found one thats great ..problems with them is ya can use too much...but now I've found one thats blew my socks off...its made by Turtle Wax ..called ICE...from Auto Zone..but am sure its sold everywhere.its a synthetic spray detailer..and for any scratches or swirls the very best product IMO is HD scratch and Swirl remover...little elbow grease here...(not like a super fine rubbing compound) that can scratch the finish ...so there ya have it....but of everything I do probably the greatest thing I have is the Micro Fiber Cloth ...the Streak- Free ones..everyone should have a couple of these .Dang ! forgot how to post a pic of the bike are I could show ya what it looks like ....

Re: What products Do You Use To Detail Your Bike

I have tried most all of the gimick expensive stuff. Nothing to good for my bike .
But is side by side test most of it is no better than off self.
First I use a microfiber was rag and microfiber to dry.
Soft paint brush for rims.
Soap ,Turtle wax spot free with OUT wax And I use softwater from the house. And mix the soap no stronger than they say.
While still wet I Use turtle wax 1 step wax and dry.(Sparingly a little is all you need)
Stuff is fast and works great.
Now the 1 what I call expensive product I like some times is BAM.
I carry along some in a small spray bottle it cleans bugs ok and is good for quick touch ups. And can be used with out washing the bike.
Bam is good for almost anything easy to use but at 20 Dollars for 32oz it can add up.
Last year I did both my bikes one is black one is orange.
1/2 with turtle wax and dry and 1/2 with expensive paste wax.
No one could tell the difference.
Same on the crome used mothers and turtle wax.
oh and on the seats I use HD saddle soap about once a month. Same on the leather bags on Fatboy they are 10 years old and still look good. A little color touch up now and then with Kiwi leather die.HD saddle soaps no different than any other saddle soap I quess but if we never bought anything but their bikes the dealer might go away

I use Armoral products, easy to use and do a great longlasting job, they have an excellent chrome cleaner/polish which is good as I have a lot of chrome on my ride.
