HOG Hibernation Time

Hey "glider", or actually anyone out there that wants to add helpful info, I don't know if there has been a previous posting about this, but how about some info on "Winterizing our bikes ". Unfortunately, it's coming up that time of year and it would be good to have a little helpful info and maybe some un-known "tricks of the trade" so to speak to start getting prepared. "THANKS"...... Re: HOG Hibernation Time

sorry i do not winterize my bikes i keep them ready to go just in case but if i was to winterize it
1 get bike off the floor - allows suspension to stretch and the tires do not flat spot
2 change the oil/filter to stop it corroding from the acids and water in the oil
3 drain the fuel out of the carb and top the tank with cheap fuel and either add staiblizer or top it right out so no condensation can get in.
4 put it on a battery tender
5 remove spark plugs and blast wd40 in there.
6 clean it thoughly
then go hibernate
