Re: Who Makes The Harley Oil & Chemicals

Are CITCO and Chemrite Ind. established names in their respective industries and do they distribute quality products? I don't know as CITCO is not a brand name in Canada and I haven't heard of Chemrite Ind. Tks.

Re: Who Makes The Harley Oil & Chemicals

Hugo Chavez is the man behind the Citco corp. and has no good feelings for America at all. Many have stopped buying Citco gas and using his products.

Re: Who Makes The Harley Oil & Chemicals

Hd formula+ is a good choice in the primary.

Redline is good also but use the shockproof heavy in the trans.

Re: Who Makes The Harley Oil & Chemicals

As soon as I found out Hugo Made HD oils. I had all fluids changed. I will not support that Dictator.. I now use amsoil in motor 20w50, Spectro 75w140 six speed in tranny & primary. The later made a big differance. The tranny now shifts real smooth. I changed out the amsoil after 3000 miles. It was still clear A little darker. Could have run it to 5000 miles. Soone told me that at 5000 mile to just change the filter. Then at 7500 change both out.. That seems a little long than I want to go..

Re: Who Makes The Harley Oil & Chemicals

I recently switched over to Amsoil and found the tranny shifts a lot smoother now. If I had known that Citgo was making the Harley oil, I would've switched long ago. After a lot of research, the Amsoil seems like my best choice but I agree that 7500 is pushing it a bit. I usually change around 4000 mi or immediately after any parade duty.
