Oil Changing

Here's a way of keeping the drain oil off the engine when doing an oil change. There's many other ways also like cutting a 32 ounce bottle open lengthwise to catch the drain oil if you have the room to fit it in there.

Nice pic. I use an throw away aluminum turkey pan,, cost about two bucks and you can easily bent a spout on it to pour the old oil back into the empty bottles for disposal. The last a long time too.

Re: Oil Changing

What i found works very good is to loosen the filter alittle but stop before it starts to drip and slip a gallon ziplock bag over the whole filter up to and around the filter mount and try to zip as much as possible and while holding bag closed with one hand unscrew the already loosened filter through the bag with the other, filter oil and everything else ends up in the bag. If done carefully you won't get any oil anywhere. Told buddys about it and they said it worked great.
