i use the 5
micron H-D filters i will switch to ams oil filters after the warranty is up

I hope you meant 5 micron filters, they are needed with the piston oil jets so they don get clogged up.

Not sure why its "so hard" to get Amsoil products, anyone who has access to the internet can get their products. I have never been bothered by the Amsoil salesmen either!

Just about anything is available on the internet, but if you need a quart, it's difficult to get it this way so you can finish the oil change you started as opposed to running to the parts store near you for a quart.

The problem with the amsoil jobbers is that they try to convert everyone to their brand, mostly for profit.

I will stick with the Harley Davidson filter recommended in my owners manual. I can see playing around with lubricants but a critical (well, maybe not that critical but could affect the engine over time) piece of equipment like this is nothing to mess with (in my opinion).
