Re: Oil Filter Poll

I used harley filters for years, but switched to K&N due to the ease of getting the (EDIT) thing on and off. Biggerst Prp is no more special filter wrench to dig through my tool box for.

Please read and understand the info in this link...

Re: Oil Filter Poll

I use a K&P Engineering lifetime filter. Oil temps dropped 20 to 25 degrees on my dash gauge after the change, and i can put the element on paper plate while cleaning with brake clean to keep an eye on what comes out every oil change.

Re: Oil Filter Poll

I know this is an old thread, however I must add this. I suspect the best reason to use a 5 micron filter is to capture the small particles of cam chain tensioner as they wear away. I do use the 5 micron filter because I still have the stock tensioners. After changing to gear drive I would probaby use something less expensive and less restrictive to flow.
