Nope, on yours it gets filled to the bottom of the clutch basket straight up and level looking in through the derby cover. Too much oil and it will be hard shifting and finding neutral.

Re: Trans Oil Poll

Never hurts to have a spare around when doing this. If you have the large "O" ring gasket on yours, it can be reused, the disc can be reused a few times but to be safe, have a spare on hand once you find out which one you have.

Re: Trans Oil Poll

I had a baker 6 speed gear set as well as auto primary chain adjuster kit install in my 06 ultra the spring of 07.The first thing I noticed was how smooth the tranny shifted between any gear. Now with about 6000 miles on it, it seems to clunk more between gears 1,2,&3 then smooth throught the remaining gears.I changed oil to the spectro 6 speed oil as Glider recommended, and the trans.shifts better using this lube but is still not as smooth as it once was. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jim

Re: Trans Oil Poll

Jim

Have you done a good clutch adjustment recently? That could cause more clunking in the trans during shifting id it wasn't adjusted right.
