Re: Engine Oil Poll

Mobile 1 Vtwin is as easy to get here as chickens tooth necklaces. So,Red line is the very next choice, and spectro.Personally,I changed to red line on a whim, and the info available on here.so far, absolutely no regrets, and the oil question as far as I am concerned,is aswered in total!Thanyou ,all of you for your input and advice!

It seems that any name brand syn oil will perform about the same as long as it is changed reg. Ive allways ghanged mine every 2500 and will continue to do so, HD say 5k but thats not for me.
I think the point you are missing here about Syn 3 is that it is a blend and not a true synthetic that is priced about the same or even higher than a quality full synthetic. Besides the fact that it is made by Hugo Chavez for the MOCO.
Dino oils will lubricate parts, but just not as good as synthetic which doesn't break down in an air cooled engine as fast.

Yes I do agree with you on that and thats the reason for switching away from HD oils, I didnt know about SYN3 not beeing a full syn oil till I found this site. Even though the SYN3 is not a true syn oil and is made by Hugo it did seem to do its job but i will never use anything made by an ANTI AMERICAN. I wish i had known about HD oil and Hugo from the start.
