New guy from DFW area Texas

New guy here, Just purchased a 96 Heritage Softail Nostalgia, this past friday. This will be my second HD, first being a 85 FXRS. Witch was the biggest (edited) i have ever had! I am hoping to have better luck on the new bike after being on Yamahas the past 7 years.

at any rate here are pics of my new ride, again its a 96 Heritage Softail, completely decked out, every nut and bolt chromed, and everything that can be chromed is chromed, all lines and cables(save for one) are braided. And ony 16k on the odo to boot!!

Welcome aboard HDslopoke, glad to have you here. Nice ride BTW, I know some one else who has been eyeballing the chrome swing arm for her deuce.....or the speedo/tach for her deuce.....unfortunately it isn't her hubby. LOL, oh, did I mention that I would love to have some knew wheels? I bet if you look hard enough, you will find something to do with that decked out ride.

there are a few things i want to revise. But first need to replace some of the chrome that is showing a little wear and tear. would love to get some rims as well, dont think i want to spend the time to clean the spokes, had to do that on the GF's bike and it sucked. Also want to get an air ride and lose the hardtail. Need to get pictures of the lowering brackets, and shocks and see what info i can find on this site to atleast give me some shock back.

oh here is a pic of the bike it replaced
a 2004 Warrior that was converted into a Drag bike that would run 11.4's in the 1/4 and low 7's in the 8th........

Re: New guy from DFW area Texas

That looks like fun. Glad my speed days are over. I could have been dangerous on anything that all I had to do was twist my wrist to go faster in my younger days.
