Hello all,
My name is Dave and I live in the Raleigh NC area. I used to own a 2000 XL1200C Custom Sportster but I sold it 3 years ago and recently bought a new 2008 FLSTSB (cross bones) last month. Take care, ![]() Dave |

Re: Newb from Raleigh NC saying hello
Thank you Speed and Glider. I really do love this bike. One thing I can say is that it drives really solid and takes rough roads with ease. Having the spung seat along with the softail suspension makes it all the more soft ride. The miniapes are also very confortable when riding long distances. My previous bike (sportster 1200C) had the drag bars and man, my back would be aching after a 4+ hr ride. I drove this bike 6 straight hours and I was fine. The only thing I will say is this bike is much heavier and not as nimble as the old 1200. Other than that, I couldn't be happier.
