Newby in Texas

Howdy, y'all, from the DFW area of Texas! Just bought my first Harley last week, an '08 black Streetglide, and am looking forward to many miles of fun. Have been riding a Honda Sabre, rented an SG a month ago, and fell in love with the ride. Picked the bike up on Thursday, and now have about 300 miles on it. Can't wait to get past the break-in period so I can really see what she can do. Had the stage I breather, SERT, and Screamin' Eagle slip-ons added at purchase, so she should be ready to bust loose. Will try and post pics to my profile once I get a chance to take some.

Ride safe, everyone!

Re: Newby in Texas

Just took my first ride of any length yesterday; 250 miles. Amazing how much more comfortable the SG is compared to the Honda Sabre I was riding. On my old bike, a 100 mile day had me exhausted. The only effects I feel from yesterday's ride is a case of windburned cheeks. The Street Glide is an awesome machine!
