First post on this forum, I retired GM-DELPHI after 38 yrs in Machine repairman and Maintainance 2 different apprinticeships
The wife and I live in In. I have owned 9 different bikes in my life but have to say that this 07 Heritage is by far the one I like the best. We put 9450 miles on it the first summer and never left the state... We have added a lot of chrome and HD touring seat and backrest, she loves them.. stage 1. SERT, SEairbox & KN. Rush 2" slipons and dynoed, did I say a lot of chrome. ha,$$$ We just want a good looking, good running, troubles free bike to ride the country roads and a few short trips in the late afternoons.. |

As far as the brain pick, I am afraid not much in that area... It seems that if MOCO does the same as with all others in manufacturing as ours, they outsource to the best they can, which is not always the cheapest, believe me ours was probalby not the cheapest, but I will guarantee you we were among the best, (if not the best) in electronics in the busness. Here in Anderson In we only made part of the electronics that went into the Igination system as that is what we made. that the unit then went to other places to be put together as a whole system.... I will say that our harley production process was under very, very strick quality control and that the parts we made had to pass very rigid test just to pass. If the process of the product we made for MOCO is just an example of what HD demands of their suppliers, believe me then all the other parts that go into the making a HD motorcycle is of the very best & TOP Quality and the best engineering of that product in the field of all motorcycles..... I am not just blowing smoke up your (edited) as delphi has gone out of bussiness here in Anderson In last year. As per bankrupicy, after GM sold us to (DELPHI) 8yrs ago (we went from 23000 to 0 employees in Ten (10) yrs) at least I am thankful I was able to retire with 35 of service, and still get our benifits. Really (I Thank GOD for what we have!!!)... Last edited by glider : Apr 1st, 2008 at 05:49 PM. Reason: language |
