Hello Everyone...

I've been riding for what seems like an eternity...since about 17 years old. I've always been a die-hard Honda owner riding their machines exclusively! I've owned a number of Gold Wing, Shadow, and VTX models over the years...with a 2006 VTX1800C parked in the garage right now. I've always scoffed at the Harley-Davidson types, but yet always held a secret desire to own one! Well, two weeks ago I woke up and decided to place a call to the local HD dealer...who just happened to have not one, but two 2007 Vivid Black FLSTFs in the crate! Precisely what I had been secretly admiring online for a number of months! I had always heard the horror stories and urban legends of having to place a deposit and wait for months to get your hands on an HD without being able to even choose a color! Anyway...several hours after that first phone call to HD I am now the proud owner of a new, 2007 Vivid Black FLSTF!

I love the machine, the experience, the HD community and now have a reason to purchase a bunch of SAE tools and will retire the metrics for good! I will sell the VTX in the Spring. My wife thinks I'm a little crazy...but supports the move to HD and now insists she needs some HD apparel, as well! I can't put her on the back of my Fat Boy with a Honda jacket, can I?

I have already started to customize the bike, and can honestly say I've got the fever! I am very happy with all respects of my choice and purchase.
