Thumbs up Newbie

Hello everyone. Just joined this group and I'M so glad I found it. Like many of you, if you ride a Harley there is a lot to know and a lot you wanna know if you and your bike want to grow old together. Actually I have a huge head start on my bike, cause I'm 66 and my bike is 8. (But in bike years, we may be closer than I think.)
I've been riding approx. 52 years. Got my first bike when I was 14. My present ride is a 2000 HD Hertiage Springer (FLSTS). There's only two accessories available for it thats not on it. Suade Green. Been a good bike. Engine is an early 99 so you may be familiar with all the troubles the MOCO built into it. Got 41,556 miles on her. Gettin ready to do the chain to gear thing on the cam drive. Put the roller bearing on the rear cam shaft around 20,000. The drive gear for the balancer slipped on the crankshaft just before that and required a near rebuild of the bottm end and while they were in there they replaced the cams, bearings (the fix-it kit) chains and etc. All under extended warrany. Thank GOD..
Look forward to being part of this forum. Mac in Tennessee
