greetings from Belgium

Hi,
first of all i would like to apology for my miserable Englisch

I live in Belgium near Antwerp with my wife and 2 kids. Whole my life i've been wanting a HD, but there's never seemed to be a possibility to finance it. 9 years ago my son had cancer and the cure costed a lot of money since he had some treatments wich were not covered by the insurance. I am still making payments for it today but that's coming to an end now. My son, btw, is perfectly healthy now.
Anyway, my HD dream is coming true within a year or so. My absolute dream is a Softtail custom but i think my first HD will be a Sportster.
I'll be visiting this forum a lot to read all kinds of things about HD's.

Drive safe!

greetz

Its good to hear when someone loves one is doing good when recovering from a situation like your kid was.

Its great that your dream of owning a Harley is coming soon, any bike is a good bike as long you get to ride.

Re: greetings from Belgium

Hi jan, glad your here!! My son had cancer also, at sixteen. After treatment and care, he is now a healthy and happy twenty nine year old. Glad to hear your son is cancer free, as well!!
You live in a lovely part of Europe, we were there in 2003.

Smile Re: greetings from Belgium

The warmest of welcomes to you Jan.. ...
It's great news your son has over come his battle, and is healthy and well now.. I have no doubt as a father myself, and I'm sure many of the members here are parents themselves will know it would have been a battle the whole family fought
Have had the privilege of visiting Belgium, including your home City of Antwerp several times whilst in the merchant Navy [BP Tankers] also visited for pleasure on bike. It is a beautiful Country with some stunning buildings.

I wholeheartedly echo the other guys, don't give up on your hopes & dreams Jan!
Can understand some-days it can feel un obtainable, but keep at it. Ive been hoping for over 20 years and now disabled, but you got to keep your hopes and dreams there ...
Here's to meeting up one day on our Harley's good guy
