Thanks for this site

Hello all; I am a "seasoned" rider with about 40 years of motorbiking under my belt. My last ride was a 1200R but my lovely wife surprised me this Christmas by trading it in for a brand-new '08 FXDC. What a gal! I am in the Seattle area and the weather so far hasn't been very conducive to much riding on my new machine so I've been cruising the internet instead learning about the technological wonders of ECMs, fuel injection, and related matters. I am very impressed with the breadth and depth of knowledge posted on this site, particularly by Glider who must have his own HD or tuner shop. I like to tweak my machines to get the best performance out of them without going overboard and having to learn all this new electronic stuff is like having a new toy to me. I'm not really a mechanic but I've managed to do the usual things to my numerous bikes over the years such as rebuilding carbs and suspensions, basic tune-ups and such. So I'm looking forward to reading and perhaps contributing my 2 cents worth here in the future. Thanks again for all the great info.

Re: Thanks for this site

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the kind words.
I worked on Harleys for many years but closed up shop some time ago and now I just come here to harass T wrecks and a few others too. I help out my riding buddies when they need it with upgrades and services but that's about it for now.

Maybe some day I'll teach "T" how to drive on the right side of the street.

In any event enjoy your stay with us and contribute what and where you can.
