Hi from rainy Washington

Hi all from gloomy Washington. It's been raining constantly here for the last few weeks, and it's been hard (but not impossible) to get any riding in. I've been riding since 1969 although I took a little break to raise kids. Like lots of guys my age, I was raised on metric bikes, both dirt bikes and street bikes. In the mid '70s I built and rode a hard-tail honda powered chopper with a long springer front end and no front brakes. Back then we'd customize anything we could get our hands on. I'm also a life-long hot rodder. I've got a '56 chev hardtop that I built over about a 6 year period.

My current ride is a 2007 Road King police. I was tempted by the low price and the 103/6-speed. So far, I've stripped a lot of the police stuff off and did a basic stage I treatment to the motor. I swapped out the air ride seat for a Corbin, and added a Dragonfly fairing and HD fairing lowers. I'm going to cam it up a little this winter and will likely paint it in the spring.

Hope to see some of you out on the road someday...

Welcome from Woodstock, Georgia, northwest of Atlanta!

Curious about your username - are you a pilot or do you just fly as a passenger a lot?
