Hello - From Phoenix

Hello All,

As a member of some other forums - non motorcycle, I find these forums helpful and a GREAT way to meet people with the same interests.

So this pass weekend I added another motorcycle to my collection. Before this pass weekend my wife and I (mostly me) rode our 2006 American Ironhorse Texas Chopper. But this weekend on Saturday I picked up a 2010 Street Glide.

Funny thing about buying it. I went to the dealer on Friday night to look at it and actually worked out a pretty aggressive deal. Told them I wanted to sleep on it. So overnight I decided not to purchase it, but my wife and I had to go to the dealer to pick her up a new helmet.

While there my wife checks out the bike and before you know she talks me into getting it. So the Sales Manager and I were talking for about an hour on bikes and such. So I took the already aggressive deal and asked him to take another $800 off the deal and throw on a Screaming Eagle Pipe. I couldn't leave having it sound stock. His eyes were like a deer in headlights. But I said if you want to move it, then do it and I'll take it. He did and we even got another $720 in store credit. So I got the SG for MSRP, no other fees, the pipe, and the $720 store credit. I felt it was a good deal.

So low and behold I bought it. We went out Saturday night for a 90 mile ride and then Sunday for another 3 hours together on it. We both love it, but funny thing is my wife said she's more comfortable on the chopper. So we'll be picking up a new seat for two up rides. I need to give her comfort back there.

So now I have the best of both worlds. My Chopper and Tourer. And of course the best wife in the world. She's my best friend and true love of my life. I'm like pig in mud.

I look forward having many discussions with all you and please ride safe.

Re: Hello - From Phoenix

Awesome choice w/the SG...I just purchased a new 09 SG last month & already added pipes, windshield & misc. bags. Unfortunately its been in the 30's here in NE so no riding for now. Looking @ 60's on Sunday so can't wait. Welcome to the forum...
