Howdy from Austin

47 years old, been riding my own bikes since I was 13. 1st was a Honda XR-75 followed by 3 Yamaha YZ's and an RS-100 when I got my 100cc license at age 15. At 17 I joined the USAF and rode a new Yamaha XS-650 Special from Austin to Oakland, Cal. The 650 was shipped to Hawaii where I spent my first 2 years in the Air Force.

My current ride is a 2003 silver and black H-D Deuce that I got new in 2002. It's got a dyno tuned stage 2 motor, SE 203's and 95" big bore with a PC III. Her name is Annie. She's my first big twin, after years of riding the 2 Sportsters I'd owned since my late teens.

Currently sitting at 73k on the odometer, almost all recreational. Each summer I go on at least one 3,000 to 6,000 mile trip somewhere in the USA. A life goal is to ride in all 50 US states, I have 36 under my belt and will be getting 11 more in the summer of 2010. That will leave only Minn., Iowa and Alaska. The Alaska trip will have to wait until I retire, 30 consecutive days off of work is hard to come by!

I have Saddlesore Texas, Saddlesore 1000, Bunburner 1500 and Border to Border (Mexico to Canada) Ironbutt Association certifications. I am also a Sr. Ride Captain with the Patriot Guard Riders/ Austin, Texas Area.

I'm saving for a new Road Glide and will take delivery with a stage 3 or 4 when I finally do make the purchase. Annie will never be sold, but she'll enjoy semi retirement as an around the town and/ or day tripper instead of the long distance tourer that she has been for the last several years.

I'm glad to have found this site and look forward to learning technical advice from those more learned than I am.

Thanks for reading my info.

Andy
