Just a biker dude from New Jersey

Great site. I have been involved with motorcycle forums for some time but not sure why I don't remember this one. I found it when I googled SE air kit installation. And I found exactly what I needed to do the job. Anyway I have been riding for close to 25 years. The first 21 years were on a variety of metrics with the last one being a '02 Honda VTX 1800 Retro. My last bike was a '06 SG and I just purchased a '09 SG last month. I did a lot of mods on the '06 and promised myself I wasn't going down that road with the new bike. But we all know how that is. I was able to use a few things from my '06 like the Clearview shield and some small chrome doodads. So far I installed Khrome Werks slip-ons and just today I installed SE air kit. I didn't get a chance to test the results of the air kit because of rain. I also have a Power Commander V that I will install after I see how the bike runs with just the pipes and air kit. The only other thing I know I will change is the saddle. I only have a couple of hundred miles because of snow, ice and now rain. So I don't know if the stock seat would be comfortable on long rides. But my wife said she don't like the seat after only a 30 mile ride. So I guess that means a new seat. Anyway I love the improvements of the SG in the last 3 years. I'm surprised how much more nimble it feels even though it's a little heavier. I guess that new frame really makes a difference in the handling. I'm looking forward to being a part of this biking community.
