We'll miss you Terry
Terry Hunter better known to most of us as "Not Very PC" and the originator of the post 4 bikes - 4 oils, the test begins (4 bikes - 4 oils, the test begins) . Iraq has taken another fine person from us. Terry posted before he left on 1/22/08 and notified us that he had been called for active duty by "uncle" and that he was headed to the "sand box". Terry was 51 years old and was killed in action on July 15 2008. He was working as a private contractor for uncle using Robots he designed to explode IEDs when he was shot in the head by an Insurgent sniper and killed. The sniper was killed buy Helicopter gunship. There will be a private burial with family and club members only (Ghost Riders of West Virginia / Virginia) on Wednesday July 30 2008. He is survived by his wife and 2 daughters. He will be missed by many, and was respected by all who knew him. Terry was a engineer for NASA for 25 years, and worked for some of the top Top Fuel race teams in the world as well as taking some time to help out on the forum with his knowledge when he had the time. He liked to cobble up different things to make a better or faster mousetraps and shared them with me on many occasions. I enjoyed reading his posts and the many PM's that we would exchange about engines and other things as well, he was a very knowledgeable and likable guy. He also referred "The Bad Man's Angel" to our forum who has contacted me about Terry. We had many in depth conversations in PM's and his eagerness to help others out can only be surpassed by the down to earth type of guy that Terry was. He was always there to help out with suggestions when a problem was posted by a member and usually hit the nail square on the head with his replies. Terry will be missed greatly here by many and if you would, please remember Terry, his wife and daughters in your prayers. You will be missed buddy!! Thanks all. |

You did not die in vain, though we do not all know each other we all share a common pain, the people that you fought for will remember you allways, the world will miss you so, we will allways keep your memory alive, and do not worry we will finish the mission with you in our hearts, we will carry you in our hearts for the rest of our lives, Rest in peace now brother for you will not be forgotten.Walk in heavens beat and guide us to protect and serve others safely. God Bless you and your family.

Re: We'll miss you Terry
I'm sure the loss will be deeply felt in many circles. Terry seemed like a great man and he will be greatly missed. His desire to help people he didin't even know both here and Iraq is a testament to his character .My heartfelt prayers go out to his family and friends.
We will miss you Bro God Bless

Very sad, such a waste. I suppose he was called up to help all the riders in the sky. Godspeed Terry, and Godbless your family.

Re: We'll miss you Terry
I regret not knowing Terry. People like him save soldiers, EOD with Robots are invaluable, seen it up close and personal. A civilian that willingly goes over there for that type of mission is a true American Hero. Condolences to his family and friends.
